We are early. Your support shapes what we become. Whether you bring capital, expertise, or simply share the work, every contribution moves the foundation forward.
Your gift funds the whole operation, not any single piece of it: keeping the vehicles on the road and charged, building and maintaining the dispatch software, acquiring the next vehicle, insurance, and the day-to-day cost of running a foundation. Every dollar moves the work forward.

DriveAble Foundation is an Oklahoma nonprofit corporation, EIN 42-3673888. The IRS granted our 501(c)(3) public charity status on August 5, 2026, effective retroactive to incorporation. Donations are tax deductible.
Looking to volunteer to drive someone to work, or you need a ride yourself because of a vision issue? This is live right now, no cost either way.
Volunteer or Request a RideAre you building autonomous vehicle technology, assistive devices, or accessibility software? The foundation offers real-world advocacy, lived-experience feedback, and a path to communities you may not be reaching.
Start a ConversationThe gap between driver's license vision and disability services is invisible to most people. Help us make it visible. Share our work. Tell someone you know about the foundation.
Join the Mailing ListThe foundation is intentionally lean. We are not building bureaucracy. We are building access.
501(c)(3) status, governance, compliance, and the infrastructure needed to serve the Tulsa region well and accept grants.
Every dollar matched to a rider is a job kept, an appointment made, a life lived independently.
Identifying the assistive technology that actually works and getting it into the hands of people who could not otherwise afford it.
The foundation is founded and led by someone with low vision. We are not consultants describing what people need. We are the people.
We work in the greater Tulsa region and the rural communities beyond it, where the transportation gap is measurable and nobody else is serving it. That makes it a real place to test technology with people who depend on it, not a demonstration.
Members using your technology generate real-world data and stories. Your accessibility roadmap benefits from people who depend on the tools daily.
When you make products more accessible, we tell that story to the communities who need to hear it. Partnership is not one-sided.
Driving is the need we talk about most, and there are two ways into it below. You may already be driving a family member, or you may be offering to drive for somebody you have not met yet. Both matter, and both take about two minutes to register.
But this is a small operation with a long list. If you can test what we build with a screen reader, make phone calls, help at an event, keep a spreadsheet straight, or something we have not thought of, we would far rather hear it than not. Tell us what you can do.
This is a lighter registry, since this is about an existing relationship, not a new one. No payment yet - this helps us count you and prove the need is real.
This is a different role from a Family Driver, since it means driving someone you don't already know. We ask a few more questions here on purpose — the people we serve deserve that care in who we match them with.
Whether you are giving five dollars or building the next generation of autonomous vehicles, the foundation needs you in this work.
